Season two had some awesome monster encounters like the leshy, bruxa, a myriapod, a chernobog, a freakin basilisk... it had some alchemy in it, with preparing potions for the transformation and stuff like that..

2042 has at the very least redeemed the maps. They are fun to play, they feel balanced and there is a good variety of flag placement. It's not the best it's ever been but it's a whole lot better than whatever happened after BF2.
