Is it just me or is controller busted in 2042, I’ve been playing around with both kbm and controller and controller has literally legal aimbot. It has less recoil, less ads bloom ect.

And I know a lot of controller players bouta cry about what I’ve said. But it’s true. In kbm you will loose most of the time in a gun fight to a controller player unless you outsmart them

Yeah that is true, but controller is just the meta way of playing 2042, don’t get me wrong I play kbm and I can still drop 50 kill 10 ish death games easily and most games I do. But most times I die in a 1v1 gun battle I die because my opponents on controller. Yeah they can’t flick around as well and can’t move aswell but the broken aim assist and no recoil and no ads bloom makes up for it

What gun are you using? Because I play on console with controller and there are hella recoils on most guns unless you burst at med-long range. Short range you can control it better and have the advantage.

What I'm referring to m&k advantage runs more of the pc vs console reference and that makes the advantages in framerate, sniping, and vehicles (mainly piloting helis/planes). Aim assist doesn't work as well in the long ranged fights sniping, and (pc vs console) framerate will always trump a 30fps console. As far as piloting, I've honestly rarely have seen a controller player make significant runs with helis and planes over an m&k player. I say rarely, because they are still out there, but adding in the other factors mentioned, I firmly believe a pilot main m&k has an overall advantage over a controller.

Not to mention "true aiming" against moving targets. For example, an engineer rocket against a moving vehicle, with aim assist it'll lock on and slow the aiming, whereas m&k you can keep to it's momentum and measure out a shot better.

Vehicles are easier on kbm, movement is easier on kbm and flicking around is easier on kbm. And anyone who has a pc here or if you can use kbm on console can try this. U can try it out. Controller has less recoil and less ads bloom. That’s the main problems.

I used to play controller until my controller got mad stick drift. And it was literal legal aimbot. The shots I would hit were literally out of this world. The aim tracking was just dumb and like I said the recoil and ads bloom were extremely noticeably less

You wouldn’t even have to bloom control to get a kill at mid to long range with an ar. But compared to kbm u have to bloom control to maybe hit 5-10 shots out of 40 at mid to long range with the same exact gun with the same exact set up

Oh, then you are missing the extra checks in your case.
EA Anticheat, alongside Secure Boot Standard Mode, expects the following additional parameters to pass:

1. OS Boot Type, if configurable: Windows UEFI. Not Other OS. (Definitely mandatory.)
2. CSM/Compatibility Support Mode: Off. It might not actually be necessary to set besides an as-good-measure thing, but hey. If you have a NVIDIA Maxwell or Pascal architecture GPU, make sure to check if they need internal firmware updates with an NVIDIA-provided tool before disabling it, else a blackscreen on boot might happen.

man, I hope Battlefield 6 really has better maps. Played BF2042 again at the weekend for the first time in a long time. Hardcore mode + classic maps like Arica Harbor... was surprisingly fun. Then came Flashpoint (just one big grenade spam) and Discarded (I can't say what I don't like. probably lack of structures?).

Every time I launch BF 2042, I receive a blue screen of death. I already turned ON/OFF the memory integrity,,, it didn't work.

Can someone help me? After the Security Update we all have to actrivate Secure Boot in the BIOS to Play BF2042 so yet I managed to du the mbr2gpt method to make secure boot available. Now it is not changable to Enabled in the BIOS due to CSM Support being greyed out and put to always in the BIOS, i guess. Wait until the helicopter is close. Use the weapon to shoot it down. There is only ever one or two at a time. Then go do something else. This is the same as with anti-tank emplacements. It's not going to work 100% of the time, and that's OK. Helicopters are not invincible. Even if you don't destroy them, you often keep them out of play for a while while they hide to repair.

Yesterday I wanted to play a few games of bf2042 after several months without playing and I find that in order to start the game I am forced to touch I don't know what thing in the BIOS of my computer due to a new update that includes a new system for anticheats, which I think is great, especially if they had added it at the beginning of the game and not when it is about to die due to the upcoming release of bf6... other games also have anticheats of this type but they do not require me to reconfigure or touch my BIOS, in addition to the fact that the "guide" that EA provides is only in English etc etc... due to this I preferred to uninstall the game than to spend a couple of hours figuring out what the hell I had to do to enter the game that months ago I could enter like any other game... please keep this in mind for bf6. Also, it's the only game that every time it receives an update it requires you to download 60 GB or more, almost like downloading the entire game again per update, which easily takes away 1 hour of gameplay or more per update, fix that for god's sake... and I've been a fan since bf3 on the ps3 and I liked bf2042 quite a bit. I'm not one of those who criticized the game, but please, keep in mind this type of things that do take away the desire to play your title.

I have a motherboard that's less than 3 years old, it's not a problem whether I can do it or not, it's just that I don't feel like touching anything in the BIOS to play a game that I've been playing for 3 years without any problem, Delta Force also has an anticheat at the kernel level but it doesn't ask you to touch anything, you download it and play it, like any other game.

I can change it perfectly, but I wouldn't even know I was touching it, you know? That's why I decided to uninstall it.

Secure boot requirement bricked my Gigabyte Z390 Designare Rev. 1.0 mb. BIOS flash wasn't possible. Used thumb drive, trying different BIOS versions, removed mb battery for a time, held pins to screwdriver to drain/reset it, nothing worked. Couldn't get a visual on my monitor. I also don't see one of these options on EA's support page so double check them; if they match toggle the other way for testing (toggle once & if secure boot still isn't working toggle back to original setting):

default for Windows 11 is TPM on which requires Secure Boot; a manufactuer is being non-standard if it ships with TPM off

so more & more players won't have to do anything

Of course. It's a move made given Windows 11 will soon be the only officially updated Windows OS, but done lightly to account for Windows 10's massive adoption and market share. So both can play in theory.

yes unforunately this bug has been a constant thing since 2042 released and was never fixed, the tldr is if you have any sort of I/O connected at once like a controller or steering wheel in combination with a mouse the game gets confused and just breaks
