As for this, I have since narrowed it down to/come up with four or five better possible causes, if not just any of the above:

1. Upgrading and replacing a GPU, but not using DDU to make sure the previous GPU's drivers were removed fully;only the usual uninstall method. Played the game for several days with both GPU drivers still registered in the system instead of only one. Probably contributed to AMD Radeon in-game overlay freezing when invoked and other things.
2. Discovering that a phone on my network was using Android 15's Adaptive Connectivity feature, which potentially had issues with an older router and may have been causing severe Wi-Fi throttling.
3. Using CloudFlare DNS on the router instead of the ISP DNS or something else. May not have resolved well.
4. Completing XCE BAR and M16A3 unlocks in the same night, leading to a player report given 200m headshot kills and getting good with the SWS as a fluke, and doing oddly specific progression in the form of nothing but grenade launcher kills.
5. Trying to get the game to launch smoothly the first time, every time with an InstallScript edit—assuming the thing was broken by default, which can happen with some games on Steam—that broke the launch instead. Corrected this later, but if that was enough to be bannable, the damage is done. I just wanted a seamlessly functioning game, and have not quite been able to have that for 2-3 years prior to now.

So it's more suitable to have more than one engineer squad if vehicle hunting

It was none of those things. I finally understand it now.

It is still something an end user can do or encounter normally, but I now know what the issue is.

The likely causes of the game ban for service disruption:

1. My Windows Firewall rules were apparently set in a horribly wrong way for years, without knowing just how wrong they were. This included Microsoft component rules being enabled when they should not have been as a typical client PC, and too many remnant rules being in the Advanced Settings months after they were thought to have been deleted and negated by being removed from Allow an App through Windows Defender Firewall, among other things. The disabled and disused remnant rulesonly found in Advanced Settings also included things like allowing extra ones for EA App components that didn't need to be set, but were in the name of trying to troubleshoot game launching or other issues. Restoring Defaults for the Windows Firewall fixed this. Sorted it now, even if it is too late.

TL;DR an end user can set wrong Windows Firewall rules believing they are right, or some rules just happen to get enabled for other reasons when most current Windows installs do not and should not need them. The game will throw launching issues, or even issue bans for repeated EA service disruption if how Windows Defender Firewall was configured was wrong in its book. Only Restoring Defaults in the Firewall Settings will fix this with certainty.

2. EA Anticheat's InstallerTool.exe in the game Install Directory gets called to briefly Run as Admin via Steam InstallScript as part of launching the game, but the way in which it is called may not be ideal, or may not work when it needs to all the time. Mitigated it by setting its Properties, Compatibility tab settings to always Run it as Administrator.

By default it can be/is. However, there exist silly things like unlocking and using Incendiary GLs and Armor-Piercing GLs for shenanigans.

Also, the Portal M416 and M16A3 let you use the M26 MASS underbarrel shotgun. It may be nerfed compared to the relentless power the It's Not Impossible M26 MASS had in BF3.

Best way to do it is getting them to bounce off the ground before hitting a target, direct impacts or wall impacts near the head, or popping them into areas where you know someone already damaged is.

Restore Defaults for your Windows Defender Firewall, and redo rule allowances as programs are reopened. Permit both Public and Private network checkboxes; the software will certainly expect both to be checked.

We've had 4 updates since November 2024. And yeah, mostly small bug fixes, or skins/events returning from the past.

Scope of those updates is pretty small. One of them as an example being:

• Fixed overlapping input prompts on the deploy screen.
• AI soldiers should no longer die out of bounds when fighting in the shipwreck.
• Added insertion sequence for the UH-60 Black Hawk. Camera transition should now be smoother when switching views in seats while in a vehicle.
• Fixed a bug where projectiles would despawn when firing from above the air vehicle max height.
• Fixed an issue where players were unable to purchase the accelerated event pass if all levels were completed before the purchase.

It is a real Youtube link, Jozeli. It is of the Lis TGM Launcher bug where the camera upon firing is blocked by clipping into a fixed position in the ground, a tree, or any blocking cover object. This prevents the user from reliably firing and guiding the missile every single time.

Most easily replicated in Solo/Co-Op matches where only bots exist.

If it was already moving at its top speed then momentum will keep it going, the mav also has the repair ability always equipped so it could've immediately used it to fix anything damaged

Armor piercing ammo in general needs a buff, it increase BTK by 1 on every weapon, and lowers its rate of fire, in exchange you get faster bullet velocity, and miniscule vehicle damage

a good upgrade for the ntw would be an 14.5 conversion or something, does more damage to vehicles, same damage to people, no mag (one round at a time), and slightly buff the normal fire rate

that way i can actually do more then tickle a vehicle with an anti material rifle

that or maybe a "saboted" bullet that does less infantry damage, but more vehicle damage as well as more muzzle velocity

When the practice first debuted in Battlefield Bad Company 2, it was to have both the M2 Carl Gustav and RPG be able to lock onto Tracer Darts. Their differences being splash damage versus impact damage.

The M136 AT4 in that game used laser guiding. It would require handling it like the TOW.

Compare with the M5, the RPG from BF3 Portal, and the SRAW.

Windows 11 once had a thing where an older GameInput component could be installed at the same time as one that was part of the OS already. If that caused issues within the GameInput service, the solution was to delete the one in Settings, which was supposedly the older redundant one or something.

This formed the basis of suggesting trying that given it was mentioned, and what was found elsewhere about it.

yeah thats the one i got too except mine was disc soft something ultra i think it said. i even tried isolating those files and it still didn't work until i uninstalled daemon, but some info i saw suggested a whole list of potential conflicting programs. there were also others saying they never got it sorted out. which is disheartening esp. for anyone with limited total transfer caps

I did that back in about 2001. Didn't take long to get better than I had been with controller, but that was because there were no aim assistance at all (controller or otherwise) with Q3A for the DC. I was pretty decent with the stick but never railed (sniped) because of it.

Yeah AEK is far from the best lol. Spread on it and other portal guns are much higher and the reload delay/lack of mag options means it's nowhere near top tier.

Only thing it's OK at is up close and even then it's competing against PBX/AC9/K30 TTK

I imagine stuff like AK24/SFAR/AK5C. High accuracy with moderate ROF means the spread increase is more gradual

But even other weapons I've had little issues out to distance unless you're mag dumping.
