Console players aren't actually overpowered with aim assist, aim assist does so little and playing on console means you have less buttons to work with unlock keyboard, and the joystick if your not maximum sens it takes a while to actually turn

So my experience with 2042 so far has been great actually, only complaint I have is with some of the spawns on breakthrough. I played one map last night which was like a big desert and you spawn behind a brown ridge. That sucked.
