The game does have more latency/delay than some other titles. But that will always partly be true due to the size of the maps, the large amount of players, the large amount of things happening at once and the proper simulated bullet trajectories.

The true reason is that it's not recognizable as a WW2-game.
Only the Pacific and some of the Base-game, I'd say Arras, Rotterdam, Devastation, Operation Underground and maybe Twisted Steel are easily recognized as typical WW2-Setpieces.

Compare this with Battlefield 1 and the long abscence of a iconic Menu, UI and historically correct uniforms.

The gameplay is good and the fortification was unique, but the game lacks atmosphere and does not credit to the greatest conflict of the 20th century.

One thing I wish 2042 had that was in previous games is actually seeing the squads. Sure, I can see the name of a squad in cut scenes, and I can change to a different squad, but we use to be able to see each squad and who was in them. And specifically pick a squad to join. So, if you saw a squad running all snipers, then I knew not to join that if I was trying to play the objective.

Also, I've tried joining on cross platform friends in 2042, and while i can join their game, it doesn't show me what squad they are in. If their squad is full, I would like to see when a spot opens up to join my friend. Even after a game ends, it still won't put in a squad with the friend I joined on
