The problem with the new graphics cards (and CPUs) is transient spikes. A 3090 can have transient spikes up to 600W which can cause stability issues if you don't have a good enough power supply.

The dumbest thing I've done in this game was equipping laser sight on most of my ARs and SMGs only to find out months later that it was turned off by default this whole time, and patch 4.0 made it so that laser sight is turned on by default. I was running around with a turned off laser sight for MONTHS without noticing a difference.
