Thats kinda surprising.
Being able to quickly pull out a revolver has saved me countless times.
People who reload instead of switching usually die in my experience.

Probably doesnt help that the first sidearm in the game is actually just not worth your time.

But the five seven is pretty good as a hipfire emergency machinegun.
Lots of recons kill me with that pistol. especially recently.

From what was said officially prior to the games launch, Battelfield has (and has always had in the games that have matchmaking) SBMM. The difference is that its relatively low in the hierarchy of matchmaking, as the game will vastly prioritize filling and starting a match quickly over balance, and only attempt to balance if the prerequisites of starting quickly are already met

BF6 has essenitally the same SBMM/matchmaking in general that BF2042, BFV, and BF1 had

Similar to the discussions around maps, it's not as simple as making all modes permanent. We're already seeing a few complaints about too many matchmaking queues and options, so we have to be careful around that. That being said, Operation Augur seems to have landed very well, so we passed along the feedback that people would like to see it in the game long-term, albeit also with some balance concerns and complaints.

Thanks! We are looking at numbers for sure. I think something we can do a better job with is somehow showing them? I don't know if it would solve all complaints, but matchmaking and winning/losing are highly subjective to yourself. So it can feel like it's unbalanced every game, when the stats internally don't indicate that (I don't know, just using it as an example). But we've forwarded feedback around this, specifically that there are a pretty good number of discussions around always stomping/being stomped.
