Titanfall is a dead franchise now because of EA's mismanagement of it. They released titanfall 2 in between infinite warfare and their own IP battlefield 1 (the latter of which had way better marketing)

Titanfall 3 was in development and was set to release in late 2026 to early 2027 but EA canned it and fired 100 devs from respawn and 400 devs at EA as a whole to please share holders with budget cuts.

Honestly, the game modes they add to attract new players seem fine to me from a business standpoint. The only thing I don’t like is that when very “pro” players are drawn in, it leads to a lot of competitiveness, toxicity, and cheaters. As long as the game remains fun and keeps a base of fair players without changing its essence, it can be a positive thing. I feel old after having played almost every Battlefield since 2002. The game has changed a lot since then—I remember the jump to Bad Company, especially Bad Company 2, was really good, and with BF3/BF4, despite the bugs, I enjoyed them like very few other games. My advice, based on experience, is to first try it out without getting influenced by what the famous YouTubers say, and then compare your own experiences.
