No I mean without portal. If I wanna play with 6 of my friends,we have a party and 3 others. After the game ends you usually change server in BF6 and those 3 who aren't on your party will be dragged onto a different server. So they have to go back to menu and join over friends. Then they always have still to wait for queue. We need something more comfortable to play with more than 4 friends

Open and closed each have their merits.

Closed allows the team to balance classes based on their weaponry atop their class equipment.

Open allows for more build diversity in the weapons department. But makes balancing a lil more difficult.

I just want them to commit to one of the two design philosophies so the entire game can be balanced around that format rather than one of the two modes being forgotten.

The argument of two shots at longer ranges is with SLUG rounds aside from headshots that should one hit kill. Buckshot has pellet drop off and can be unpredictable at longer ranges. However, it should be able to one shot between barrel and 15-20 metres, anything up to 30-40 should deal 80-90% damage of the health pool

I think, if they're not willing to commit to completely class-locked weapons, there should be some weapons that only certain classes can use. Like, allow the medics to use Carbines and SMGs but not snipers. Assault can equip ARs, Carbines, SMGs, Shotguns and some DMRs. Scout can equip SMGs, DMRs and Snipers, but not LMGs, ARs or Shotguns. This isn't the COD discord but speaking on that, if they only would add just 1 extra year to each game's development, they would probably make somewhat more decent games (against the most recent installments). Honestly i think if they stick to BF6, and maybe release a map or two each year in addition to whatever DLCs they'd probably make an obscene amount of cash off this game. It felt alot like BF3 and BF4 but with the cinimatic destruction of BF1... Yes, that would be the best thing to do. Keep feeding this game because so many people are interested and its just a fun game to play. They can still make skins/bundles for this game but just keep them realistic & grounded, people will buy them which will hopefully fuel more dlcs in the future. Depending on how many people buy the game at launch, there most likely will be enough money for plenty of additional content. They really need to have a consistent roadmap for post-content to keep people coming back. I hope the progression system is rewarding as well. Yeah, if they go year-to-year it'll collapse.

Combined with the battlefield formula and milsim influence it works really well that way. The new nerf to the slide will make it better as well

generally people who are pushing for these movement techs dont give much better explanations for why the game should have it. The ability to go sicko mode and chain jumps accross a point does not just result in a better player winning. It changes the options available to them, effecting map design. It changes the pacing of the encounter by creating a constant potential threat. And it changes how other players will have to play accordingly. The actual cause and effect of high skill cieling movment is almost never discussed.

It could. Settings are just a skin, they don't have to be based in reality entirely. Assault Rifles would just go to medic, and that wouldn't be much different than 1, considering the Federov which is very similar to the M16A3 from BF3.

considering the Federov which is very similar to the M16A3 from BF3.
oh its not. the federov fires full power cartidges, which modern rifles dont. It also had a really wonky damage falloff and slow firerate that wouldnt match the expected feel of an M4 or AK. BF1 may have automatic rifles, but doesnt have true assault rifles.

well, yes but no. theres still an expected feel for weapons thats gonna be informed by real life. Fire rate and ammo count, for example, are fairly immutable. Guns with bigger bullets would generally have more kick and damage. Otherwise there is a disconnect.

Those traits don't impact class design, though. You could still reinforce mid guard play with ARs and Semi-Autos in modern setting, while Assault gets front line play with its SMGs + AT. Even if the ARs had a high rate of fire, or high ammo count, etc. It's all about supported engagement ranges.
