Well! During testing, the developers allow specific things to be tested. Later on, they ask for feedback on those specific things. This is all part of the development process. Developing a game is a highly structured and organised process. You also don't know which version you're playing. It's possible that the studio is already further ahead in their development than the version you're playing.

I cant say bf5 maps were awful asides from some of the REALLY open ones but 2042s were exacerbated because of modern vehicles.

If it were bf5, 2042's maps would be more annoying. But because of the AT chopper and shit it makes it really difficult to balance it out.

Ok strafing runs existed but they were much less effective than a 30 mil.

I think for people who play religiously, and if they only release like 4 maps and as many guns as 2042 at launch, then sure. For me, I played bf4 religiously and never really got bored even when it felt repetitive. Now, im in the military, we consistently go out and I dont get the same opportunities I used to in terms of play time. The fact I got to play in this round of bf labs when I'm not out at sea must be some divine intervention. I still obviously have my thoughts and reservations

Regular playtesters do have. And I know this because of all the leaks on reddit telling this. People who are part of the server stress test don’t have this privilage and should just do what they were asked: to play the game and give data and not talk about what they experienced. They will probably be able to leave some kind of feedback after the playtest ends.

i think if you changed the server settings too much it would become unranked so you couldnt unlock stuff or level up, to stop stat padding, not that it really did since 64 player metro was sanctioned stat padding lol and you still had servers that were there just for xp, flying transport choppers from flag to flag

For the games to live a long time and to be popular, there absolutely needs to be a ranked and a competitive mode organized by EA even if it's a small cash prize. Everyone follows and plays FPS because of that.

2042 failed by nature of technically broken, design was split between its supposed original design and a rushed change to return to form, designing during a time where people werent in office, and maps that weren't originally designed for their later purpose. 90% of issues could be attributed to the early concept phase.
