i dont think bf needs sbmm, the player size of each server and having a server browser have traditionally ment you get such a wide array of skill per server it kind of works out, although, having a skill metric to balance individual servers, which used to be done via server plugins which would look at your stats i think, thats useful

It's normal for the developers to keep it structured, as it seems with the survey after a test. Imagine how many messages the developers would have to go through on Discord. Also: The Studio creating a game. Not we player. We give feedback to the Studio so they can improve the game. Not telling the dev how the games has to be.
