The issue with a lot of live service games, is the people managing them don't know how to, and/or the company running the show isn't able or willing to spend more, on live service content deemed not good for ROI. Such things include maps, unfortunately

some ignore this, and focus only on the perfect soundtrack and atmosphere of BF1, but bf1 had probably the best maps in multiplayer videogame history

no game can top BF1 design, ever..

i know it might seem weird to some, but i despise desert maps, there are always too many for their own good, especially when you have such a small pool of maps like BFV, where half of the maps were empty deserts.

In bf1, you had a pool of 30++ maps, and you had like 2/3 deserts that had central points to fight/city like

when i joined hammada in BFV, or the other aircraft hangar map, i immediately wanted to quit, it was unbearable to play BFVs maps. Even the city ones like the one in cathedral. Pure gray map.

Especially the northern africa one, where you fought in a small castled city, you essentially were playing Call of Duty, because you had 3 axis of attack, up middle and bottom, unlike any other BF title where you are free to move wherever u wanted.

If I can hit more shots accurately in core then it's even easier hitting less. HC is for people with garbage aim trying to make up for it by just playing super defensively but it makes the gameplay loop even worse and destroys map flow, pacing, engagement ranges, and makes smoke from incredibly useful to absolutely necessary to bridge even the smallest of gaps.

The BF games have so many different ways to get points via assists, weapons, vehicles, support (ammo, healing, res, spotting, suppression, etc) that trying to combine only players with high kill ratio or something completely skips anyone that is supporting via other methods for teamwork

It should work like MWIII imo, in MWIII you have to level up your gun to the last level, then you can unlock camos with various basic challenges, T5-T1 system can work similar. Level 5 allows you to do T5 challenge and level 30 allows you to do T1 challenge for example.

I still think that should be a feature in Battlefield, if you down an enemy you should be given the opportunity to prevent that enemy from being revived, it worked in Hell Let Loose, I don't think it will be a problem for Battlefield, it can also prevent Medics from spamming the defibrillator while hiding in a corner,

not to also mention prevent non medic players from being stuck in that scenario of being shot down, then being revived, and immediately being shot down over and over and over again,

Usually if someone gets revived and killed again immediately, they are out, dead and not rezzable again. 10 seconds timer or something, if you die in that window its over. No recovery. Could be longer. Don't know the excat time. BFV is an exception, you die and you can get rezzed indefinitely if you are downed again after the revive. Promotes medic trains and they got rid of that mechanic with 2042 again.

I just fear what it’ll be like from the receiving end. Of course bf is no stranger to things that just kill you out of nowhere, but I fear it’ll be incredibly frustrating just existing, getting sniped and then being unrevivable where basically every other form of death lets you.

Sure it makes snipers more effective at taking space, but if I’m playing with friends for instance and I’m just suddenly instantly dead it would t be all that interesting
