I know thats easier said than done and a delicacy in regard to just adding frustration… BUT if done correctly, could force helis to be closer to the fight. I’ve poured hundreds of hours into every Battlefield game since BF2 (except Hardline, we don’t talk about Hardline) on the same EA account. Yet, somehow, I’m still staring at my inbox like 🧐 waiting for a Labs beta invite that never comes.

DICE’s selection process must be like a secret vault guarded by dragons or an algorithm that prioritizes “who unironically loved the Bad Company 2 tracer dart” over loyalty. Maybe they’re saving me for the “2,000-Hour Veterans Suddenly Confused By New Features” test group.

Anyone else in the same boat? Or is this just the universe’s way of saying “touch grass” after 18 years of PTFO-ing? 💀

Well it’s a few thousand players, in a program that has had 1.7 million people minimum sign up. Time played is probably a factor in their decisionmaking process but not a guarantee

I highly doubt their selection process is all that complex. They probably have a select amount of servers open for tests, and players who have location set as close to those servers are chosen

The selection isn’t fully random. When applying for beta tests, they require surveys about hardware, play habits, and past experience. That data is absolutely used to prioritize testers—whether for specific hardware configurations, region/playstyle diversity. If it were purely random, those surveys wouldn’t exist.

Friend of mine got in, but he said it was completely unplayable for him because the anti-leak thing that gets revealed when you boost the saturation covers the entire screen prevented him from playing.
His eyes have low color sensitivity and so he has the saturation on his computer screen cranked extremely high up to see colors in game.
Didn't work out for him. All he saw when he got in was a bunch of repeated player id's

all with heat, smoke, frag and illumination shells? imagine 105mm smoke and illum rounds landing FFE in the dark. the entire gaming community would be speechless watching a fireworks display like that.

firing a shell, waiting in anticipation with your radio on whether or not your first shell landed anywhere near your target, adjusting based on the forward observer's or drone's observations, hearing that your shell hit a tank and knocked out it's tracks through your radio is exhilarating, the exhilaration only increases as you load in another shell knowing the artillery piece is still set on it's last firing position and the next shell your loading is bound to hit that poor tracked tank again. 🙂

If worried about it being overpowered, these are super easily countered as they are unarmored field infantry pieces vulnerable to, well, everything.
