you need to turn off battleeye in your rockstar games launcher
or add -nobattleye to ur launch options/shortcut
can anyone help me with this issue? When entering a cutscene these thin glitchy borders appear at the ends of the screen, when going back to gameplay they go fully white, only way to fix is by changing a DLSS setting or ray tracing setting. This is using Flawless Ultrawide, playing without it makes the issue much worse with the glitchy borders being much more thicker (standard 16:9 pillarboxing size)
I had this issue too. What helped me was closing Flawless Widescreen completely and downloading Rose's updated patch from Nexus. That's still gonna give you borders after you scope in with a sniper rifle, but opening Snapmatic removes them again

it's fine. it's playable. PS5/XSX doesn't have real HDR. it's just inverse tonemap (fake HDR)
Sounds great! Why isn't it greenlit with ✅ then/not on Nexus Mods?
And a small side note - given that there are so many RenoDX HDR mods, are there any games where you would consider the native implementation of HDR to be very good? Cause it seems like pretty much every game is somehow busted LOL
Well it crashes with FSR FG so it's not 100% ready
And DLSS FG? Does that one work?
for dlssfg, reshade includes support for it directly if you use HookStreamline in the reshade ini. or use dlssfix, but reshade's way is cleaner
Reshade's way doesn't work with OptiScaler DLSSG-to-XEFG tho (at least for me)
I mean the game will just be stuck on black screen on launch, dlssfix is fine

I installed renodx using UPST. When I start the story mode, I get this flicker, can't move the character but I hear the sounds. I tried to find R10G10B10A2_UNORM option in renodx in advanced mode but it doesn't exist. Any idea?
Use these two files and dont update them. They are the only ones that work for me and the one from the github and nexus mod doesnt work with NaturalVisionEnhanced Installed. The specific problem ur facing was happening to me and it was because I was using frame generation without the dlss fix

you're mixing* 2 different addons with different dates and version, as well as a 3rd non-renodx addon

sad... maybe the NVE mod devs are willing to pair on this and somehow support renodx with their modded 6.6.2 reshade version. Right now its incompatible and one without the other is totally pointless tbh.

@meager inlet hey man I was having a conversation about gamma in another thread, I was trying to better understand the subject and I brought up this mod as an example: basically the modder in the other thread told me that if a game already encoded in 2.2 in sdr, gamma correction in hdr isn't technically needed, if that's true, and if I understood things correctly, since gtav from what I understand does already encode in 2.2 in sdr, why in the reno mod it defaults to gamma correction? Shouldn't the "correct" setting be gamma correction off?
Textured are encoding in srgb not 2.2. Displays decode how ever they want and generally they decode in 2.2 or the newer 2.4 standard (BT.1886).
Windows HDR decodes SDR content as SRGB which is texture accurate.
Things like the UI which are encoding in SRGB hit the display to be decoded. It never touches 2.2 until the display decodes it as 2.2
If you want, you can check yourself. Open the game unmodded with Windows HDR on and take an Xbox Screenshot JXR. Take a screenshot with the mod with Gamma Correction Off. If they look identical, then you need Gamma Correction
The mod encodes the render in SRGB so the game and UI can be decoded with 2.2 equally. So yes you need Gamma Correction on.

It does encodes in 2.2, but not the UI. Hence you need Gamma Correction

batmanak is like that too, where it uses a 2.2 LUT, but the option is useful to cross compare how Windows HDR would have shown it.
But batman does have gamma correction on by default, if they're the same why doesn't reach need it?

we also started calling it SDR EOTF Emulation as well

Looks like the game is setting the folder to read only
Maybe unchecking the read only button in folder properties and then saving your preset will make it go away

If the peaks are not higher than 203 nits then it's not HDR

so you'd need to check if you are actually reaching above 203 nits on highlights

Hi all, every now and then, GTA V crashes and I get this "failed to replace pipeline" error in the Reshade log. Unfortunately, I am not able to find a specific pattern or cadence when this happens. Sometimes restarting works, sometimes it doesnt. It's so random. When it doesnt crash the game and renodx mod loads perfectly! I am on linux, if that helps in any way at all.
Hey, I am having the same problem as you. 6.6.0 loads dlss fix here as well, but not renodx itself
And on 6.7.3, renoDX loads normally but dlssfix crashes the game

on my log, renodx gives me the 1114 error and reshade doesn't load the add on (on 6.6.0)

I am gonna try stock sl.interposer

Just to summarize if you want to edit the instructions
1 - Reshade as dxgi.dll was not reading reshade.ini
2- Reshade as reshade64.asi using ASI loader was reading reshade.ini
3- Using the HookStreamline=1 in reshade.ini was causing a blackscreen in game, not on menus
4- DLSSfix method worked fine with reshade as ASI and everything is great now.
5- DLSSfix addon was crashing before when reshade was dxgi.dll
does this include the early addon change?

What's the proper way of getting rid of black crush with this mod? Changing the TV (Samsung Qled) settings don't help much. Dark shadows are always too dark to see any detail. I used the windows 11 hdr calibration tool. Any suggestions?
have tv with accurate settings, and change settings within Renodx UI
