alr if hops are the best crop then this is the (or one of the) best layouts for the greenhouse. Blue= surrounding tiles - dark blue=iridium sprinklers - brown=pathway - green=hops (to get to every hop you have to break the sprinklers in your way and then put them back)

They bear fruit in different seasons. Each tree sapling will tell you which season (I can’t remember at the moment), but they do take a full season to grow so I’d recommend planting a month early. For example, if you are trying for apples or pomegranates, try to get the trees in the ground early summer so you can harvest the fruit in autumn.
