I am a little glad turnips are not in game! So, we moved once when I was growing up. We had very little money for a little while, but a farmer down the road was selling parsnips, a dollar a grocery bag. We ate parsnips for basically every meal for the first few months of living there... They can be used in practically anything, like potato, but, potato tastes less like turnips.
