in early game, u have the baitmaker that speeds up levelling greatly
if you start on riverland, you can do convenient fish smoking bc of the free fish smoker, which makes ||y1 desert festival|| viable, changes how you can play spring y1
(u can also fish ur way to it on other maps, riverland makes it much easier so i thought i should mention)
with legends in ponds now, u can also do an early legend in spring y1, to have passive money on the side

mid to late game, at the post-cc location, with one of the perks unlocked from the system in level 10 in all skills, 200-300+k (depends on how long u fish) per day with the right fishing setup, smoked iridium lava eels go
