it's definitely possible to finish CC as quickly as possible (provided you're lucky with the traveling merchant; she sold a singular red cabbage one time which was really lucky for me in my current playthrough), but yeah you can take your time with it and you don't need to over think it

though i will say
one thing i like to do for CC is to have a chest nearby where i store all the CC items i need

When you reach level 10 fishing, choose luremaster profession, then place down crab pots after choosing this profession, then be sure to never pick up these crab pots again, when you change your lvl 10 profession to fisher->angler since this is the best fishing profession

Crab pots' luremaster/Mariner professions DON'T EXPIRE from crab pots as long as you leave them in the location where they were placed while you had that profession active
So you accidentally choosing trapper doesn't go to waste

it'll cost you 10k to switch from pirate/luremaster to fisher/angler in the sewers, again only do this AFTER placing all your crab pots down/placing bait in them and NEVER pick them back up again

what you can do is just do save backup before you touch your crab pots. if you accidentally fuck up, just quit game and load your backup, easy peasy, just dont forget or youll have to restart your whole entire day instead. i reocmmend using joystick buttons as well when you do anything fishing related, including crab pot handling

u can do winter foraging bundle! artisan goods can check traveling cart as she sometimes sells them

once u do winter foraging bundle (with 2 bundles completed) then u'd be able to unlock boiler room, with ur mines done then u'd be able to do all 3 bundles in boiler room, so u'd be able to get access to the desert before summer if u want to

60 is nothing compared to the actual amount you need to kill

i personally wouldn't bother with the slimes lmao

if you dig deep enough in the mines you'll encounter enemies that drop the solar/void essences, solar essence first

and you only need 1 of each

plus 10 bat wings which should be really easy to obtain

also if possible i suggest completing all the boiler room and vault bundles first
they're the easiest (imo) and grant a ton of great perks that will help in the long term

i think friendship bundles can be done last, the bonus is extra friendship for all villagers but it only applies to villagers you've met
and there are certain characters that you won't encounter until later in the game so it might be beneficial to save the friendship bundles for those

i personally completed mine on spring year 2 (though only because it took me way too long to get my third apple and for my rabbit to produce a rabbit's foot lol)

for the community center bundles sometimes there's more stuff to gather than there are available slots

so for the adventurer's bundle there's 4 options to choose from (99 slime, 10 bat wing, 1 solar essence, 1 void essence), but only 2 slots are required to fill in
meaning you can choose any 2 combinations of the 4
