for other fishes, i sell iridium ones then keep gold (or below) because for quests, quality doesn't matter

but for expensive fishes (e.g. catfish), i save gold + iridium for smoking to further increase their sell price later on

they need water to grow - but if you don't have enough sprinkler spots, then it's fine to just plant it aside from your main plots

exchange jades for stairs (only on sunday) -> this is the most important step to getting deeper in skull cavern, so duplicate jades with ur crystalarium(s)
exchange quartz for bombs (5 quartz 1 bomb) + craft bombs if needed
exchange omnigeodes for desert warp totems (3 omnis 1 totem)

healing - salads/cheese/purple mushrooms/cacti/squash/carrots, depending on what i have on hand

warp there bright and early on a max luck day for max amount of time in sc, eat when your health is at half not when it's low, avoid unnecessary combat

weapons-wise if you have galaxy sword use it, if not - use something like steel falchion and focus on bombing iridium nodes to get to get your own galaxy sword||

Parsnips and potatoes for spring, until the egg festival. Then you can get strawberries from that vendor. They're the biggest money maker in early game. Before planting ANYTHING, make sure you have enough time for it to grow. The seeds tell you how long they take to grow, take that number and +1

For parsnips for example, seeds say they take 4 days to grow. They're ready to be harvested on the morning of the 5th day

Well, I've done the community center year 1 thanks to getting lucky on some red cabbage pregrown on fall from the sunday vendor

Though boy did I have to fish so much to get the coop and barn upgrades during the summer leading to fall mainly for the pig to find truffles

I try to do realistic goals in year one. I try to get a coop and chickens in spring. A barn and cows in the summer. And then depending on where I'm at, the stable and horse in late summer or fall. Tool upgrades kinda depend on where you're at with resources.

yeah, when the screen goes weird & more flying enemies spawn, it's just a swarm. You can fight it out for resources, or just leave via a ladder if you've got one.
