yeah so at the end of the day, sf/af still remain the most competitive because you just can't really take fertilizer or professions out of the equation when considering application, there's more factors to think about, and opportunity cost is a thing

there are some crops where e.g. hops, which are really solid numbers-wise and can even beat out sf, but even then they remain unrealistic because of how much work there is, and once you miss a harvest here and there it falls off

in terms of effort, sgb is also not really completely effortless, because you still need to seedmake it to propagate your fields, and because of its long growth time (vs. af that takes only 7 days in between each subsequent harvest), it's not ideal for profit

don't let that stop you if you want to do sgb fields though, but it's just that the math has been done very thoroughly for all of these crops

Bc those are what I see most people planting in their greenhouses. I did see someone who filled the whole thing with coffee once, so they could zoom around, but that doesn't seem as common.

yeah there are much better ways of getting coffee, imo, for the effort
sf/af comes down to a playstyle thing, yes sf numbers are the best but many people do prefer af because you don't have to replant

(whereas i myself prefer sf because af setup for me is torturous XD)

yep it's not a money maker and it's planted for the seeds, but there's for example 3 other ways you can obtain coffee for the speedboost

1. buying from gus, cooking your own TSE
2. trading ||diamonds for TSE at the desert||
3. a post-community center item that allows ||coffee/TSE to be found when killing mobs||

So, when you use fertilizer on plants (like ancient fruit) that regrow, does the fertilizer just apply to the first crop of it, or does it apply every time it grows?

if it's fertilizer (impacts quality), it affects all harvests forever (if in greenhouse)
if it's on a crop like blueberry that makes multiple crops, then only the 1st berry will be affected by the fertilizer

if it's speedgro on regrowable crops, it applies to the initial growth period, so e.g. deluxe speedgro on ancient fruit is just shortening the 28 days by 25% that's all

Never considered just buying it from Gus because it felt expensive, but the speed buff is worth it especially if you're making bank at that point

so for af, typically the best fertilizer is no fertilizer (as u should be processing it), or a late-game best level of retaining soil (to save sprinkler spots), rarely do you want to use speedgro unless it's a niche situation

How to get the Prismatic Jelly

In order to find a prismatic slime, you must search for one in the mines to kill in order to obtain prismatic jelly. The most recommended method would be to use the elevator between floors 0 & 5 (or any other preferred floor, 5 is just easiest) to reset the mines until it spawns. It's recommended to go on a good luck day, since the spawn rate for a prismatic slime is affected by daily luck.

Came across a weird bug where I had Shift+Right Click to split my 84 Cucumbers into two 42 stacks. I right clicked a chest in front of me to put them away, but one of the stacks (which I was holding, was not placed in my inventory) disappeared. Lost the 42 Cucumbers. Spring is normally mountain lake and if it is raining and you have a bait maker go to the town or forest river and fish for catfish.

Summer i think it may be ocean or mountain lake. Fall is one of those two and winter i want to say is sturgeon at the mountain lake. But I may be mistaken on these

if you're up for a little.....trickery, you could get into the ||secret woods via a chair so long as you have a copper axe. hardwood stumps are good for exp||

14 XP for chopping down a tree with an axe (granted all at once for the last chop that causes the tree to fall).
2 XP for removing the tree stump after chopping down a tree.

You need 1300 XP for level 4, so that means 80 trees cut down. Feels like the easiest action you can do in early game. Artifact spots are 15xp but there's only a small number of those. each day.

it doesn't have to be though, y1 greenhouse can be very consistently done in fall y1 without having to spend that much

For me it's always the cows, goats, and ducks

goats are only 4k
barn is 6k, big barn 12k
and ducks are only 1.2k
you can also befriend emily who has a chance to send you wool

compared to say, 16k for a pig (+ deluxe barn 25k) for bulletin board
these really aren't that big of a cost

you should still check traveling cart as often as possible though, sometimes they sell the animal products so u won't need the animals (if that is what you are worried about) @sand field
