Though eventually you’ll want to transition over to sprinklers anyways

the lake is good for general players because it has carp and bullheads - which are easy to catch, it's still a great spot to fish

this spot is better because you are standing near water, and not blocked by the pier - so you get to cast into a deeper fishing zone even at lower fishing levels, as well as not need to cast full casts, which saves on time bc casting animation also takes time

especially useful if one is rushing day 2 fiberglass and more, can't recommend enough and credit to fishmunk

@plucky isle the vault is part of community center restoration, if you have it completed, you'd be able to purchase seeds for starfruit - which are one of if not the most profitable crop in the whole of the game, it only shows up after you've completed 4 bundles

and yes there is wine in the game! you unlock recipes for kegs at farming level 8, and you can keg fruits to make wine (and keg other stuff to make other artisan goods)

it's worth looking into completing community center as it unlocks many benefits, including profitable money-making methods, if that is what you are mostly interested in

there is the joja development form as well but imo for a first playthrough it's always better to go for community center completion first

no worries, i get that - it's completely okay to take your time as well as there's not really a real deadline in this game
i think using the community center as a reference point/guideline is a good start, as it guides you through the various game mechanics and skills, such as farming/mining/foraging/fishing

there are other hints that can guide you along - for example, checking the mail, talking to the villagers, or reading lost books in the library, completing quests for them, checking out the recipes you've unlocked as you levelled up, etc.

just to confirm, you've seen the cutscene with the wizard, right? for the community center? how are your skill levels going?

other artisan goods e.g. cheese, pale ale, mead, etc.
you can make cheese from cow/goat milk (from barn), pale ale from hops (in a keg), mead from honey (in a keg)
