i think the key to having a good beach farm is to not play it like a standard farm

it's a very spacious farm so you can go heavy on fish ponds (just one example)

How does upgrading weapons work? When it comes to other tools like pickaxes, I see you have linear progression using ores. But for weapons it seems all over the place. I found a Steel Smallsword in the mines, but then a few layers deeper I got a Forest Sword off an enemy. Are weapons just dropped from enemies or do I take say this Forest Sword to the Blacksmith for him to upgrade?

yes doing fetch quests is really good for several reasons
NPC's pay you more for the item then normal, you get friendship points with them and every 3 quests on the board you do gives you a prize ticket
