warp there bright and early on a max luck day for max amount of time in sc, ladder, bomb stuff, u can use explosive ammo too if u'd like
and more importantly, eat when ur health hits half (not when it gets low

i think the key idea is to ||avoid combat when you can, e.g. quickly place down stairs, quickly bomb and move on, don't pickaxe stuff, and don't hang around killing slimes etc.
your goal is to get down as deep as possible because the is easiest to find when you are bombing iridium nodes

i personally like spicy eel + triple shot espresso because +2 speed is very useful to have in skull cavern
