You want to plant a bunch of parsnips in spring bc you need 5 gold quality ones for the bundles, and you need a regular one for the spring bundle, I'd do the same with melons and corn, you can choose to do pumpkins too but corn grows in the summer and fall so I'd do corn and melons, I'd prioritize the community center and don't sell your supplies for money, if you need money try to do all the quests on the board or sell seashells, you need some for the crab pot bundle though so keep one of each

Well it does require a decent amount of ores and getting to farming lvl 6, so I think that's it's fair for the time you get it at. It also allows you to play much more without focusing so much on watering
