Frankly, for me it was just downloading smapi and everything else was self-explanatory
You download a mod, I do it from nexus, you extract it, and drag it over to the mod folder in your Stardew Valley game
It all has to be done in the desktop mode of your steamdeck, and believe me, it will help so much if you install Smapi on the steamdeck instead of a SD-Card

well, as of 1.6, you can get mushroom logs later in game (possibly before having to pick), but there is also fruit trees that you can buy from pierre, so whichever option you want is okay. Also, on the forest farm, there's already a chance of finding mushrooms around naturally. I usually go with fruit cave, but do what you want!

no, actually! they spawn quite frequently along with other foragables on the forest farm. And yes, it is! Again, if you pick the forest farm you should go fruitcave, because in the community center there is a bundle that requires a lot of fruit, and there is also a bundle that requires mushrooms. But yes, it is a good way to complete the community center! ^^
