yes, ive tried it all! it makes me so frustrated!! i just make my fiance do it for me. fishing gods are def not on my side in both real life and video games

fishing is one of those things where you have to do a lot of it in order to make ur experience easier :' )
e.g. iridium rod locked behind level 6, where u could use trap/cork bobbers
if you don't want to fish ever again, u can always just use crabpots and fishing ponds (can get fish from linus or trash cans or traveling cart) and fishing books to slowly raise ur exp up until level 10

after you hit level 10 in all skills, there's more things that can make fishing easier

catfish and largemouth bass can be sent to you by linus, and the rest have to be purchased from traveling cart/other means
if you unlock ||sewers, krobus|| also sells some cc fish, pet cat with max friendship can gift u fish, demetrius could send u bream in the mail as well, also trash fish is an option, ghost fish can be dropped by killing ghosts in the mines

some fishes are intentionally annoying to catch you need to really focus if you must get them, if its difficult dont beat yourself up and catch the easier ones slowly but surely until you get high level where your bar is big

as for some tips assuming u dont know this yet, try doing the mouse tapping method where u just tap ur mouse instead of holding it to keep it in the middle and what not
