so i wouldn't say "get them for the apple tree specifically" but get a solid number of lightning rods

in year 1 spring 1, fish as much as possible. Fishing is by far the best money maker for early game. Fish in the mountains too. Try to get level 10 fishing before spring ends so you can catch "the legend" fish exclusive to when it rains then build a pond and put the legend into the pond for its roe

u have ur character face a water body (e.g. ocean)
use ur fishing rod, wait until u see the cue that a fish is here, then click to start the minigame
there's 2 green bars in the mini game.
basically, u want to keep the fish icon in the left green bar as much as possible (u tap to move the green bar up/down).

when the fish is in the left green bar, the right green bar goes up.
when the fish escapes from the left green bar, right green bar goes down.
the fish is caught when the right green bar reaches the top.

as you catch more fish, you gain experience and level up eventually. at higher levels, fishing becomes easier because you get a bigger bar.

i suggest buying a training rod at 25g (from willy's shop) because it can help you get used to the mini-game.

if you are still having some trouble and just don't want to do fishing at all, if you've not hit level 1 by end of spring (and have picked up the bamboo rod from willy), u will gain a free fishing level at the end of the season. you can also buy trout soup from willy as it can increase ur fishing level temporarily (hence bigger bar size).

Mh okay is there any clue on what to do on day 4 cause i saw a guide that said upgrade pickaxe and idk why id do that

the mines open on day 5, and you'd use your pickaxe for mining there
using an upgraded pickaxe means u need less hits to break rocks, therefore conserving ur energy (there are various levels of upgrades, the 1st level is copper, costs 2k gold and 5 copper bars - u smelt bars with copper ores, coal and a furnace, 1 bar is 5 ores + 1 coal)

since it's ur first playthrough, i wouldn't stress too much about having the pickaxe upgraded on day 4, u can always upgrade it after u've mined a bit, maybe day 7ish - u should still get it upgraded soon, i just don't think u need to upgrade it right this second (and the upgrade takes 2 days so if u send it in on the 4th, u will only get it back on the 6th)

i'd just use day 4 to fish as much as u can, saving some fish/river jelly for food in the mines (e.g. chubs/smb)

there are many other ways that u can regain energy, e.g. in spring u can eat salmonberries (spring 15th to 18th), parsnips, carrots, fish u've caught (e.g. chubs/smallmouthbass), field snacks, spring onions, other forageables

summer 3rd spa opens up so that is where u can replenish energy too by sitting in the water

the price catalogue was added in 1.6 so console players can now have a bit more UI help wrt prices (no need to have wiki open always)

but yeah UI info suite 2 is just so helpful for everything else, e.g. for small things like if u've watered ur crops

no longer have to squint at ur screen esp. if it's dark at night
