if u are worried that ur foraging level is not high enough to take full advantage of salmonberry season (takes level 4 for 2 berries per bush), u can check out gus's dish of the day/cart, sometimes pancakes are sold for a cheap price

or u can buy the recipe and just cook it urself if u are at level 3 foraging and can craft a cookout kit

it's +2 foraging

then spend 300 on 1 coffee and run around during salmonberry season and ur energy needs will no longer be an issue

alternatively, as u are waiting to gather more resources, why not go kill 500 for burglar's ring?

once u reach 120, u have a tiny chance of getting a shard from any monster u kill, so i often get my 1st shard when grinding for the ring this way

few tips for fishing:

1. you increase your skill via crabpots/books/fish ponds- with the help of trap bobber + deluxe bait, make it as frictionless as possible, as well as the late game option that was added in 1.6 (2 other late game perks, actually)* btw also add fishing food buffs! such as dish of the sea, or trout soup, those can temporarily increase your fishing level
2. you rely on the cart to buy fishes when they appear to complete community center; or befriend Linus who can send you catfish and largemouth bass -> but not a long term solution, you need to eventually do 1) to make it count as part of your fishing collection
3. you mod it to get rid of the problem

higher fishing level = bigger fishing bar
iridium rod that allows for trap bobber (which slows fish from escaping) is purchasable at level 6 - so you can use other ways to increase your fishing experience first if you really struggle with fishing

if you have gotten the bamboo rod from willy - and you didn't reach fishing level 1 by end of spring, you get a free fishing level + free training rod

Yes and no. You can screenshot by going to the “options” menu and then get a ss of your entire farm but you can’t just zoom out without a mod
