That's.. kind of an issue. At least for me. You'll have to get pretty far into the museum collection to get that key to reset your skills to get the methods that I use.

You can craft a glowstone ring at level 4 mining. Unfortunately it needs 5 iron bars, which you mostly start getting after those floors.

You can get lucky and get a glow ring from fishing, but honestly you're kind of just better of toughing out those dark floors from 30-39

If you hold a torch above your head it will slightly light up a bit around you, which can help see ladders

funny thing ab the fishing tho. i gave him my rod so he could learn how fishing works, but he was so bad that i immediately went and got him a training rod

Ok then let him explore other aspects as he goes along and prompt him in different directions and let em discover new things so you don’t fully ruin the exploration part but when they do discover it you can tell them what it does it gives you less work and them more fun

last we played, he did ask ab what the npcs do and my brain was running a little slow so instead of actually explaining anything i just said they don't really do much and that you can pretty much ignore them. which technically is true, especially when yr late game

Yeah the npcs technically don’t add much mechanics wise other than a few things but lore and story wise they make the world definitely feel more alive

Ok so here’s what I think would be best way to explain;

1. Npcs and the heart system and if u want the how you ca marry Npcs
2. Quest board and what possible quests can be on it and how you have to deliver it to the Npcs
3. Community centre and bundles and show them how to complete bundles
4. Let them explore if they get stuck then prompt them to the right direction but don’t take over
   That is probably the ideal way I would you can change it if u want @midnight chasm

Many things the fishing is so fun. The farming obviously love the animals. The npcs are chill. Mining can be good and overall game has really cozy vibe great soundtrack etc

hundreds of hours of content for a very low price, regular big updates and maintenance without getting more expensive, lovely community, high replay value, very diverse content
