• Nothing can be placed on those tiles: no paths, crops, weeds, fences, other trees, or objects.
• If another fruit tree’s 3x3 overlaps, neither tree will grow.

Once the tree is fully grown, you can put flooring, tappers, or decorations around it without affecting fruit production — but you still can’t plant another fruit tree in that overlapping space.

🌳➡️ In short: fruit trees need to be spaced at least 2 tiles apart so their 3x3 zones don’t touch.

• Growth can be slowed or blocked if there’s something directly on the tile where the tree would spread into its next growth stage (like a placed object or another tree right on top of it).
• Normal trees can grow right next to each other — even directly side by side — as long as each seed has its own tile. They’ll still grow to maturity.

👉 So unlike fruit trees, normal trees can share the 8 surrounding tiles and don’t need spacing.
