you can sell the jam to pierre at the shop, but i would keep the geodes and have clint crack them open. they aren't worth much in the first place and cracking them gives you things for the museum and community center. if you don't need what comes from the geode, you can sell it (unless it's ore...keep your ore)

Don't think it matters too much in the long run, but fruit bat can be good for getting certain fruits you might need for community center completion, but it's inconsistent. Mushrooms are a bit more consistent in producing I find, but I think that matters very little after a certain point in the game. I'd personally go fruit bats.
