The issue with the Kiln is that wood is just as, if not moreso, important as Coal, so it's kind of counterproductive to burn it into coal.

That being said, in y1, it's cheaper to buy wood from Robin and turn that into coal than it is to buy Coal from clint directly.

Make a chest as soon as possible. Clear the forest of debris so forage can spawn. Don't forget the spring onions at the bottom of the forest. The mines will get less scary and fishing will get easier. Don't let the NPCs see you picking through trash. The horse is worth it

Not a new player but I have a recurring issue. Every time I play Stardew with fullscreen, the camera movements feel choppy. I dont know why this is. I can play with the game fullscreened with taskbar and the white bar on top showing, and then the game doesnt feel choppy. Does anyone know how to fix this?
