Yes and no.
Since product can be processed into machines for extra money. Such as Perserve Jars.

you can sell whenever but it's great to have money at the beginning of each season to not run out when buying seeds
but as pichu mentioned, your produce will be worth more if you let it marinate in let's say preserve jars

i tend to have one singular crop during the season that i plant the most (like 200 of) and this one i put into machines, the others i sell (but always make sure to keep some just in case i need it for a recipe/quest/it's a gift)

Does it matter what level crop you make into preserves?

in the beginning you should sell almost everything

you need money now, not later

after you don't need money right away you can start worrying about processing

and preserves are usually better as vegetables, or low value crops

fruits and really high value vegetables are better kegged

and quality doesn't matter to kegging or jarring

Your farm at the start should have enough respurces to grt all your skills to level 2 except combat

but you can redo the evaluation

Year 3 is when you get tested for the first 2 years of your farm the test can be redone once you have more stuff done

Community Center is meant to be completed as fast as Year 2 originally, due to some items only being sold by Pierre on Y2, and better access to Quality Fertilizer. It is also assuming player understand how to obtain majority of items except from Mines, probably. So the progress speed vary a lot.

So the xoncept is that the commu ity centre is like a tutorial campaign it teaches you about different resources building and the bundles were a smart way to show the different professions and howw to acheive them the once you finished the whole thing you come back and realise you can skip the whole tutorial and pay the value of all that stuff and play your own way.

If you full focus only 1 proffsion you can get that 1 to 10 before summer

Fishing can be hard to level for newplayers bcs they do not always use Perfect catch mechanic or being in Coop.

Farming simple if you mega plant mixed seeds, mining would require mega delving, foraging would need to forages the whole map every day and maximise cutting dowm trees, fishing would be catching the whole season in 3 dayz

you just need to get far enough to unlock crab pots and you're gold

It is possible with level 5 Fishing or more. Sometimes that specific fish are quite tame, which give you a chance. So just keep trying.

if you want to kill slimes for drops, you need to do outdoor slime ranching

the problem with the hutch is that it's population capped

you take slime you've been getting from killing slimes, put it into the press to make an egg, take the egg and put it into the incubator

it'll hatch a slime pretty much anywhere, doesn't have to be inside the hutch

so you just fence off an area, slimes can't get out

after you have a male and a female slime, they'll breed on their own

I think the males are the ones without antennae and females are the ones with

but it could be the other way around

it takes a bit of time to change colors since the shifts isn't that radical

then you let them breed up a storm

when you feel like you've got a stable population, you slaughter them and then let their population rebuild

you can do all of this in the hutch too, the thing is, the hutch is capped at 20 slimes

outdoors there is no cap

so you could have hundreds

If you really need a gem node, the best way to specifically farm for it is resetting a x5 elevator floor (like, 5, 15, 25, etc)
Since gem nodes can spawn on those floors (but ores can't), so you spend less time looking for ladders while mining

Amythest nodes and 'Gem' nodes (the smooth purple ones that can drop any gem) can spawn on any floor
