It got me to floor 120 easy

I did swap it out for the bone sword though

I use the Bone Sword usually until I get a Primsmatic Shard, which you can ||trade for a Galaxy Sword in the desert||

I might use a hammer if I get really lucky an get one (like Slammer or Cudgel)

But they're rare and just a bonus if you get them, not something to reliably look for.

If you really really need a good weapon, you can buy the Steel Falchion from the adventurer's guild, which is pretty good for its price.

Usually by the way the villager reacts. But you can also look in the friendship tab by clicking on the villager in question, and it will show you how they liked previous gifts
