There are a few different ways to make money in Stardew for the first year. Strawberries are good money, ||but since you can’t get strawberries until the egg festival I would go for turnips for spring until you can get strawberries. Then buy a bunch of strawberry seeds from the festival and plant them the same night. || (wasn’t sure if I should spoiler this or not) It helps to get a patch of tilled dirt watered and then planting the seeds right away before you go to bed
