Its really not that hard

As others mentioned you got tiles where sprinklers work

and the crates are pretty handy, especially early on

Forage around town, there are some nice items for you to find.
Plant and water your parsnips, clear a small area for them.
Use your scythe to cut fiber (NOT THE GRASS), it can drop mixed seeds for you to plant.
You will get a fishing rod on day 2, fishing is great for money early on

Probably my biggest pointer is to try and not get overwhelmed. There is so much to this game and it can feel as though you missed something that you wont get to see/obtain after a certain point but the game moves with the player. If you want to skip an entire season just to grow crops and get profit, do it!! You aren’t going to miss anything you cant see the following year. (I hope that makes sense) To my knowledge there is only one cut scene that is exclusive to year 1 and it doesn’t affect gameplay if you miss it.

Spoiler if your really desperate to see it ||I think you have to get Sam and Vincent to 2 hearts and talk to them on the beach||

Other than that, I highly recommend Salmenace who has tons of guides for gameplay including a year 1 checklist, animals guide, Skill guide, friendship guide, and so much more HOWEVER he does spoil certain events/gameplay info from time to time so you might want to try and get a feel for the game before you look into specific elements
