Yes. I put one right beside my bed. I'll check it before going to bed and when waking up. It can alert me to having done something stupid, like letting the silos run empty. And it lets me know how many machines are ready, and by the number of them I can usually tell which ones it is.

It regarding the crafting all items trophy on the wiki it only shows 1.4 items but doesn't outright say you only need to craft 1.4 items cuz the trophy does say all items but wiki only shows 1.4 and trophy's usually don't update with a games versions

You have to activate "Show Advanced Crafting Info" in Settings. It will show not only what you need for crafting/cooking something, but how many times you've crafed/cooked it.
