What's a good way to get coal quicky? It's been pretty annoying having to feed wood into my array of charcoal kilns

I used up my mining trips coal and I still got tons of ore :/

Hold ore above head, have coal somewhere in your inventory. Use the Ore on the furnace like you're giving it a gift.

Kilns aren't too bad tbh. In y1 at least, they make it cheaper to buy wood from robin to make it rather than buying Coal from clint.

As far as actually farming for coal goes. Dust Sprites in the frozen floors drop them often.

If you don't want to mine on frozen floors (because maybe you REALLY need copper instead) then on the other 2 types, aim for these rocks. If you have the level 5 perk of +1 ore, that buff applies to these rocks in particular, which includes any time they happen to drop coal.

You can eventually get seedmakers, but buying will always be the best option when avaliable.
