well it's a good thing you don't get worse at something the more you do it, so i say keep practicing! you'll get the hang of it someday! :) i believe in ya dude
a few pointers: use the training rod first to level up and then you can try the fiberglass rod after you reach level 5
for every level in fishing, you get a bigger bar. the training rod sets your bar size to what a level 5 bar would look like
you can only catch easy fish of 50 difficulty or below (excluding legendary fishes, weirdly) which makes it great for training

When you cut grass, the hay automatically goes into the silo. Once your barn and coops are fully upgraded, they will automatically fill the feeding troughs from the hay in your silos.
That's nice and convenient.
