If you have jars sitting around doing nothing, might as well process what you can. The new ||dehydrators in 1.6 are also great for processing Bberries, since they do it so quickly||
Otherwise, they're generally just sold raw because you tend to get so many of them it's not worth sitting on them to process.

Try 2 things if it doesn't work.
Attempt to put a bomb right infront of you after entering.
Try Axe and Pickaxe right infront again.
If nothing works, change your controls to Joystick etc (anything that is not tap to move) and hold forward. If the Character is doing the run animation, he should eventually walk through anything infront, either its a small chick or egg.

And if you're talking about actually progressing the || SC ||, go bombs and a gold pick. Iridium Pickaxe is a luxury item when bombs are your primary method of diving.
If you're trying to figure out which tools to upgrade first, Iridium Axe > Iridium Sprinklers > Iridium Pick
