Friendship is kinda hard when you don't know how to do
Here's some tips:

• you can give up to two gifts per week; it resets on Sunday
• every villager has specific taste in gift ; they either love, like, dislike, hate, or are just neutral towards them
• in the social page, if you click on someone, you can see the loved and liked gifts you've already given them
• gift taste makes no sense, you either have to try and retry, get hint from other villagers, or use the wiki
• you gain friendship by talking and giving gift, and you loose a tiny bit if you don't talk to them one day (250 is one heart, +20 when you talk to them, -2 when you don't)
  There are other specific mechanics, but honestly it's not useful; you can look it up on the wiki if you're interested

the best way is buying it but it's expensive, the best cheapest way is farming dust sprites in mines

reset floors 45,55 and 65 over and over and over... and over again

don't bother going out of your way for a few (around 1 to 4) dust sprites that are on the other side of the floor, just reset it
