This is a very advanced tip but… What I like doing when I have no backpack upgrades is fish higher past the shore and drop any excess items I don’t immediately need once my bags full. The excess items will drop on the floor and not in the water since I’m too far away, which will decrease chances at higher quality fish, BUT I don’t lose any items unless I quit the game. When the day changes, you don’t lose dropped items on the ground

I checked the wiki and strawberry seeds can be planted perfectly up to the 16th. In theory, planting potatoes and then parsnips will allow me to harvest the second parsnips on the 15th and plant strawberries.
