Build a spare chest, grab the letter from Willy, run to the beach. Receive the Bamboo pole, fish until Willy opens shop, buy the training pole. Fish with the training pole, trying to reach Fishing Lv2 before Willy closes shop, so that you can buy the Fiberglass pole, plus a Trout Soup or two, and then empty the rest of your money buying Bait.
Fish with the Fiberglass pole using bait until just before you faint at 2AM, and then store your stuff in the chest (keep the finerglass pole, the bait, and the soup)
Day 3 always rains in the first year. Craft another chest and fish in the river for Catfish with the temporary fishing skill bonus from eating Trout Soup. The town and forest are both fine, but the forest is closer. If you're on the Riverland farm, you can just fish there. Try to reach Lv5 before fainting at 2AM again. If you do reach Lv5, do not sell or ship any fish until after you have selected the Fisher skill that night (if you ship them before you choose the Fisher skill, it will not be applied to them in the same night)

Then on Day 4, retrieve all your fish and sell them directly to Willy with the Fisher bonus so you can buy stuff with the money on the same day. Like the first backpack upgrade from Pierre

This plan is intended for advanced players, however. A beginner is not recommended to try it.
