Farming at least, is a matter of scale - if you have the money, you can level super fast (Though without sprinklers it's a lot harder)

I say getting lvl 10 in spring is possible for fishing but that's gotta be a dedicated goal so it's good

I usually ignore luck except for specific targeted mining trips - I find that just grinding ore is consistent enough as is

I would love upgraded axe and pickaxe but I cant afford it (only 2.7k gold that Im saving for summer crops)

As for my weapon, I got a prismatic shard from treasure so I should be ok once I fix the bus

If it's a regrowing crop and you let it die at the end of the season, the first day of the next season you can just scythe the dead plants away. The sprinklers will have watered them, and the ground will still be hoed. You do lose any fertilizer/speed-gro, but that's still two steps you won't have to do in that spot.
