Honestly you could just roll through winter and use that time to build up your supplies, work the mines, fish, and get to know the community.

That way what you’ve done isn’t wasted. Plus you haven’t sunk a whole lot of money into your farm, I’d assume that you have started with professions, and you’re not really that deep into any of the main quests yet.

No need to start over. Just take a breath and come up with a game plan for spring.
