So long as you're not going to miss your harvest day, and it doesn't stop you from getting an extra harvest I'd do the upgrade now if you're set on it, or simply just prioritise unlocking sprinklers as they're usually unlocked around the middle of summer/early fall

as long as you harvest on time you'll have multiple harvests (if watered daily)

Once you have the sprinklers, you end up forgetting where you left your watering can because it's only really useful for Spring 1 and any new tilled spots during sunny days

Mobile doesn't have multiplayer. Every other version can be played online with others, though it's not server based, you need to actually know the people and someone will host the farm.
