Go to the mountain lake and fish there in spring. That's the easiest spot to get used to fishing

No problem. Largemouth bass, bullhead, carp, and chub are there in spring. All are relatively easy.

As soon as you cam buy the iridium rod do so. You can get different bobbers to help make it easier. If in 1.6 ||I suggest using magic bait. This also increases the fishing bar size as well as the bite rate of fish.||

The next fishing pole allows you to equip Tackle. This is like an "accessory" that helps you fish in various ways. Tackles have durability and break down in... around 20 casts, I think. Most of them are easy to just make more of, though

I'm fond of the Trap Bobber. Cheap to craft, and they make it much easier to catch anything that puts up a real fight.
