I believe I did the math on this a while back. Technically if you horse-race Ancient Fruit and Starfruit + Deluxe, the starfruit starts out ahead, but the ancient fruit eventually overtakes it. The thing is that that overtaking point happens after like a couple hundred in-game days, which isn't all that realistic.
