You're not meant to easily get stacks and stacks of batteries. They're a precious and rare resource used for later game crafting. The game already gives you 2 guaranteed storms a year and a few more sources. Just make sure you have a lot of lighting rods for when the storms come

FWIW, I just got out of the Fair without my luck buff, but I did have the Survival Burger buff from eating one during the fair. It's at 5min 33s remaining, and it normally lasts for 5min 35s, so clearly it didn't tick down during the festival. Either my pre-food buff expired while the Survival Burger didn't, or beginning the event stripped it off. I'm inclined to believe the latter, as you said.

i like to plan a specific area on the farm for crops all year around, try to plant as much of the high selling crops cuz u can put them in preserve jars/kegs and get wayy more profits, also try to use sprinklers as much as possible and plan ahead cuz some crops might not be available during the next yr. sorry if it wasent much help but i hope u have fun w the game :)
