I just watched a youtube video about sprinkler setups. The basic ones only cover four squares so you'll have to place them in a kind of zigzag to cover all your crops. Quality sprinklers cover 8 tiles I think it is and the iridium covers something like 24

Be creative

Defintely reccomend the chill route as long as you can. There is honestly no rush. But if you are a completionist then eventually it's helpful to have a plan, just because you'll want to do certain things in each season and it takes a while for each season to roll round again
